### Practical Uses and Applications of Peppermint Essential Oil


Peppermint essential oil has traditionally been used to help with the following situations:


**Skin Issues:** herpes, eczema, itching.
**Nervous System:** lack of concentration, neuralgia, headaches, vertigo, travel sickness...

### Recipes with Peppermint Essential Oil


##### FOR MASSAGE




- **To relieve muscles after physical exertion and alleviate tired legs:** Use a mixture of 3-4 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil with 3-4 drops of Rosemary Camphor Essential Oil, and a teaspoon of Black Cumin or Hemp Oil on the muscles.

- **To improve heavy digestion:** Apply 3-4 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil with 2-3 drops of Fennel Essential Oil on the abdomen.

- **To relieve headaches:** Apply 1 drop of Peppermint Essential Oil diluted with a few drops of carrier oil on the temples and neck, being careful not to get it in the eyes.



##### FOR DIFFUSION




- **To clear the mind:** Add 4-5 drops to a diffuser along with Lemon and Rosemary Essential Oils.

- **To refresh and calm the nervous system:** Add 4-5 drops to a diffuser along with Lavender Essential Oil.

- **For serene work:** Combine 4 drops of peppermint with 4-6 drops of sweet orange essential oil.



##### IN COSMETICS




- **As a body scrub:** Mix 10 tablespoons of coarse salt with 10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil, 6 tablespoons of Almond Oil, and 5 drops of Lemon Essential Oil. Apply this mixture all over the body with circular massage movements using your hands, and rinse off with water when finished.

- **Refreshing mint shampoo:** Add a single drop to a generous application of shampoo, or create a mixture with a maximum of 1% - 2% essential oil added to the bottle of your shampoo (mix very well).



#### Refreshing Lip Balm


**Ingredients:**




- 1 tablespoon beeswax

- 1 tablespoon shea butter

- 1 tablespoon coconut oil

- 5 drops peppermint essential oil



**Instructions:**




- Melt the beeswax, shea butter, and coconut oil in a double boiler.

- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

- Add the peppermint essential oil and mix well.

- Pour the mixture into small lip balm containers and let it cool completely before use.
