First Cold Press or Virgin
When an oil is labeled as "first cold press," it refers to the extraction process used to obtain it. In this case, it indicates that the oils have been extracted purely by mechanical pressure without added heat sources or chemical additives. Whether from seeds, fruits, or grains, they are decanted and filtered. Also known popularly as virgin oils, they retain all their properties and elements, making them the richest in fatty acids, nutrients, and vitamins.
