What is White Kaolin Clay Used For?

White clay, also known as kaolinite, is perfect for skin that needs to eliminate toxins. Unlike many other clays, it is particularly fine due to its natural washing process. In addition to being excellent for rejuvenating facial masks, white clay is also a great vasoconstrictor, making it ideal for treating tired legs, swollen legs, cellulite, and even stretch marks.

How to Use White Clay

• As a Mask: It’s ideal when mixed with a natural hydrosol or oil to enhance its effects, such as chamomile hydrosol, lavender essential oil, coconut oil, or aloe vera.

1. In a facial bowl, add two tablespoons of clay and gradually mix in water, hydrosol, or your chosen liquid. Stir until you achieve a yogurt-like texture.
2. Once ready, you can add essential or carrier oils for additional benefits.
3. Apply to the skin and let it work for approximately 30 minutes.
4. Rinse off with water. Finish the treatment by spraying a hydrosol and applying your favourite essential and carrier oils.

• For Use with a Facial Sheet Mask:
  Combine two parts water, hydrosol, or liquid aloe vera with one part white clay in a glass bowl or jar. Avoid using tap water due to its high chlorine content. Mix well and apply to your face. Allow the mask to rest for about 15 minutes—take the time to relax! Then, remove the white clay mask with a sponge and warm water. Repeat this process weekly, and in just a few weeks, you’ll notice rejuvenated, radiant skin.
